Soapstone Soap Dishes

These handsome hand-carved stone soap dishes are a Fair Trade product made in India by an artisan cooperative. Soapstone is a relatively soft stone that can be carved into intricate designs. The carved top allows water to drain from your soap, and comes off for cleaning/

Soapstone is delicate, but it can last for years if handled with reasonable care. If your soap gets stuck to the dish, run the entire top under warm water to loosen it - don't try to pry the soap off with force or it might break the carving. Sorry, but we cannot accept returns on soap dishes.

The most popular design in my soapstone soap dishes, this features an intricate design of vines and flowers.
The top is removable.

Abalone Shell

Rainbow abalone shells make beautiful soap dishes or decorative objects. Shells measure 5" to 6" from end to end.

Double Flower Soap Dish

Slightly flatter design than my other soapstone dishes, finger grips on either side to help lift off the top piece for cleaning. Colors vary from light to pink to dark gray.

Wooden Soap Dish

_Pros: Good looking birch soap dish drains well and will keep your soap dry. Won't break if it is dropped. Good price.
Cons: Water drains through onto the sink counter. Can discolor along join seams.

Sisal bag for holding and using up slivers of your precious soap. Wet it and use as an exfoliating washcloth and never waste soap again!

Shaving Bowls

The bottom raised swirl and designs etched into the inner surface provide traction with your brush to help build lather. They are available in assorted glazes and all bowls have a characteristic slight indentation in the lip to provide a better grip. These are a hand-made item and the artist's production schedule will determine their availability. $22.00 each.
